Massage has been used for thousands of years to treat numerous conditions. As modern medicine increased, massage as a healing art decreased and people became less accustomed to touching and being touched, even though this in itself is proven to improve peoples health. Over the last few decades, as massage has become more popular, so the medical community and the therapist community have spent time examining each others fields and now we have doctors recommending massage for conditions and massage therapists trained to use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology to deliver a healing massage that can speed up recovery times, or provide relief for more chronic conditions.
A healing massage does not promise to cure medical conditions. Any massage for serious medical conditions should alway be carried out in conjunction with conventional medicine and often in collaboration with your doctor. There are certain conditions that will require more frequent massage than you can afford, in time, money or effort. In this circumstance, we will happily guide someone else through the process of giving massage in between sessions but these are not a replacement for a professional massage.
If you choose to have a Healing Massage, then the personal details form must be filled out in its entirety. With other massages, some sections are not so necessary, or, as long as the client signs it, then the information they choose not to give is up to them. With a healing massage, we need to make sure that everything we do is designed to prevent any complications and improve your life.
The price for a healing massage is the same as for a standard massage even though they require a greater amount of expertise. We do not profit off others conditions. £35 for half and hour to £65 for an hour.
